Philly Song of the Week: “Good Time Tonight Remix” by Mike Davis

On April 7th, 2026, R&B singer Mike Davis released his album Full Circle. At some point in time between April 7th and June 1st, Davis put signage on the outside of an SUV in hopes that someone would see it and care… well Mike, today is your lucky day!

This week’s Philly Song of the Week is “Good Time Tonight Remix” by Mike Davis!

You never know what to expect when you scan a QR code on the side of a car in West Philly, but what I got on my morning commute was some well-made R&B music. Davis released his first project in 2003 and has been a consistent actor and musician throughout his life! His Instagram feed highlights his upcoming performance at Odunde, the film he wrote titled “The Drop-Off” and his new album Full Circle.

Mike Davis is a thespian and an artist, his song “Good Time Tonight Remix” is the ninth track on his album, and it’s a remix of the third song on the album. This track is dynamic, starting with minimalist guitar and ending with an incredibly done saxophone solo.

Davis’s vocals go from understated and simple to powerful harmonies.

“Good Time Tonight Remix” is a feel good summer song made by a Philadelphian that simply wants people to hear his music! This track is ripe for a house remix with its isolated vocals, drum breaks, and horn sections. This is a song for Philly to dance to!

Thank you Mike Davis for advertising on the side of your car, we’re happy we found you!
