Armani White is the next big thing to come out of Philly. Pat Mahomes likes his music, a billboard with his face on it was erected in Manhattan, and despite only dropping 4-5 songs in 2020; White has blown up.
“Danny Mac” displays White’s ability to rap over a barebones snare beat. Reminiscent of something from the movie “Drumline,” Danny Mac is some new rap music that any generation of hip-hop fan can enjoy. This is not a song made for TikTok.
“Cuz on some Philly shit I just thought I need more sweat suits,” White shouts out his hometown in the final bars of Danny Mac. The music video for this single heavily features Philly landmarks and neighborhoods that you might recognize.
