Bazar Don Baratón opened its doors on 1151 S. 9th Street in early October, just a month ago. The store’s outside displays feature multiple racks of vinyl, children’s books, games, $3 pairs of shoes, Halloween costumes and jewelry while the interior of the store boasts great deals on household items, toiletries and cleaning supplies.
As of now the new store’s not accepting donations but is open daily for shoppers. It is situated between the 9th St Laundromat and The People’s Kitchen.
This is just a stone’s throw from Geno’s and Pat’s, Garage – South Philly, and Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar – so if you’re ever grabbing a steak or a beer in that area – know there are some interesting clothes and tchotchkes not too far away.
