The Whealthy Meet Up 5K is a collaborative event co-founded by Mariah DuBose, Briana Robertson, and Londa A. Jenkins — bringing together Whealthy, founded by Mariah, and The Meet Up PHL, founded by Londa and Briana.

Robertson and Jenkins want interested participants to know that this 5K “brings faith into movement and everyday life.” Proceeds from the event will benefit In Deed & In Truth, a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.

DuBose knows what it feels like to grapple with the struggle of wanting more in life. She knew early on in her professional career that she wanted to prioritize a life of service to those in need.

But when? When should we give into the inevitable changes that require action? It wasn’t until her mentor at the time told her to simply, “Start where you are,” that DuBose knew it was time to focus on what she needed.

“A lot of times we know better, but we don’t do better. So why is that?” Says DuBose. “Health is our wealth.”

Start where you are! All are welcome to this event that promotes health and wellness to the city of Philadelphia. There is a distinct connection between physical and mental health that needs to be nurtured and disciplined. Faith is another proponent of wellness, and it was through God’s guidance that DuBose was empowered to take the paths that led her to where she is today.

Walk or run along scenic routes for a “faith-centered, purpose-driven experience.” The race will end with a celebration of praise, encouraging a safe space to gather and worship as a community!

“The Whealthy Meet Up 5k gives people an opportunity to come together, reset…and to also realize that you’re not doing this alone.”
