Our goals are to highlight the amazing things happening in Philly that often go unrecognized. We’d strive to highlight artists, small business owners, and activists working towards making Philly the best it can be. We aspire to release special print edition magazines that will be unlikely anything ever seen and we aspire to create a listenable Philly news podcast.
More so than anything, our goal is to exist. There is a desperate need for growth within the Philly news ecosystem, currently it is a one horse race dominated by one specific outlet. We’d like to add our horse to that race and see how we fare as a collective of like-minded writers.
The Philly Plain Dealer is a response to the rest of the Philadelphia media industry. We don’t want to be like other outlets, we want to be ourselves.
