You read the headline! On November 11, 2025 the Philly Plain Dealer is releasing its second print edition featuring stories from Jason N. Peters, Shamus Clancy, Martin Sakansong, Jah Yeboah-Gyasi, Stella Chiavon, Liz Robau, Kevin Penn, Kate Shuman, Steve Overlander and more of your favorite Philly Plain Dealer contributors!
The Philly Plain Dealer is a writer-owned profit-sharing independent news outlet currently in the process of applying to become a 501c3 non-profit. We have existed since 2020 and are in our third iteration of the publication. Since our re-launch in December of 2024, we have built up our audience, broken our monthly and annual page view records and have been making progress in Philadelphia.
Our aim is to give new voices in the city a chance to shine, we want to build a unique business model around journalism in Philadelphia, and we want to highlight overlooked stories in the city.
Our Second Print Edition is currently available for pre-order for $8, and we are selling a print edition bundle including our first and second print edition for $16 (only 15 of these are available)! Each copy of the Philly Plain Dealer is hand-numbered by one of our writers from 1-250, and each copy of the Second Print Edition has a 1 in 3 chance of containing a small prize!
Support a new journalistic outlet attempting to change the media landscape in Philly! With funding and support we will be able to provide better journalism and that is our goal!
That being said – we are also launching our GIVEAWAY PALOOZA! How dignified!
This week from Sunday 10/5/25 to 10/8/25 we will be giving away two copies of the Philly Plain Dealer Second Print Edition, Two Tickets to see Thomas Day at the Brooklyn Bowl on October 11th and two pairs of tickets to the Army-Navy Soccer Cup at Subaru Park on October 10th.
Winners will be announced Thursday 10/9/25!
On 10/29 we will be giving away two more copies of the Philly Plain Dealer Second Print Edition, Two Tickets to Temple Vs. Tulane on November 22nd, and a pair of nosebleed tickets to Sixers Vs. Raptors on November 19th.
